NEW RUN ANNOUNCED AT THE PLAYHOUSE THEATRE

Due to its phenomenal West End success, DREAMBOATS AND PETTICOATS, the musical inspired by the smash hit million+ selling albums, transfers to London’s Playhouse Theatre.

The musical, featuring some of the greatest hit songs of the Rock ‘n’ Roll era, opened on Wednesday 29 July at Savoy Theatre to great critical and audience acclaim. It was so successful that it extended its original run there and from WEDNESDAY 6th JANUARY 2010 will take up residency at the Playhouse Theatre.

Written by Laurence Marks and Maurice Gran, the team behind Goodnight Sweetheart, Birds of a Feather, The New Statesmen and Shine On Harvey Moon, this spectacular feel-good production will give you ‘the greatest time of your life’ – taking you back to a time when each passing week brought another classic track.

Featuring songs from Roy Orbison, The Shadows, Eddie Cochran, Billy Fury, Chuck Berry and many more, including Let’s Dance, To Know Him Is To Love Him, Shaking All Over, Bobby’s Girl, Three Steps To Heaven, Little Town Flirt, Only Sixteen, Sleepwalk, Runaround Sue, Happy Birthday Sweet 16, What A Wonderful World, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow, Let’s Twist Again and many more hits from music’s golden era!

Dreamboats and Petticoats 3, the third album in the Universal million+ selling series, was released on 2nd November and went straight to the No 1 spot in the Compilation Chart. The record-breaking national tour of Dreamboats and Petticoats will continue in 2010.

January to May 29th at the Playhouse.
    Stalls £63.50 & £51.00.
Paid £36 for 2 stall tickets with a great view and only 12 rows from the front, at Stoke-on-Trent this year.
Are London Theatre prices a rip off?? Or prices to suit London Bank workers and their bonuses?
Can’t wait till it tours again with prices to suit us poorly paid workers north of Watford Gap.

    Hi
Saw the show at the Alexandra theatre in April and am hoping to see it in the new year at the playhouse. Would love to see the original cast perform and want to know if there are any plans to release the musical onto dvd?

Saw this twice in London and what a show. Takes me back to my childhood and the cast were all amazing. In times of recession, this is great escapism back to your parents time…..
