Del Shannon’s Runaway, the very best of is being released on Monday 25th of January!
Del Shannon was different from other stars of his generation, but there is no doubting his continued popularity or his rich musical legacy. He was 26 years old, a real late starter, when he had his first hit, Runaway a No.1 in 1961 and like many of his classic recordings it featured his trademark falsetto. There followed a string of classic singles including, Hats Off to Larry, Hey! Little Girl, The Swiss Maid and Little Town Flirt, inspiring The Searchers and a whole lot more British bands in the process. Shannon was much loved by many in the music business and he recorded with Jeff Lynne, Dave Edmunds, Andrew Loog Oldham and Tom Petty, who along with Bruce Springsteen, Jimmy Page and others fell under his spell.

Strange this post is totaly unrelated to what I was searching google for, but it was listed on the first page. I guess your doing something right if Google likes you enough to put you on the first page of a non related search.
